Welcome To Wounds Into Words

This is where the story actually begins.
For a long time, I lived inside versions of my life that other people wrote for me — labels, assumptions, judgments, and narratives that reduced complicated truths into something easier for others to understand.
When people don’t know the full story, they tend to fill in the blanks themselves. Over time those guesses can become the version that gets repeated, until eventually it starts to feel like that’s the only version that exists.
But the truth is rarely that simple.
Wounds Into Words exists because silence eventually becomes its own kind of prison.
There are things that happen in life that shape us in ways that can’t always be explained quickly or cleanly. Some experiences take years to understand, and even longer to talk about honestly.
This space isn’t about presenting a polished story. It’s about documenting the process of reclaiming it.
Some posts will be reflections on the past.
Some will be about things that are still unfolding.
Some will simply exist because they needed somewhere to land.
Not everything here will be tidy or resolved. That’s intentional.
The goal of this blog isn’t perfection — it’s honesty.
For anyone who has ever felt like their life was misunderstood, reduced, or rewritten by someone else, this space is also for you.
Sometimes the most powerful thing a person can do is take the pen back.
And start writing again.
